"I grabbed every Ventures volume as soon as it appeared on the record rack. I especially benefited from the first couple, learning the lead for Memphis and the correct rhythm for Walk-Don't Run. On that tune, I still run into guys who don't stay in F long enough and then play E when they should next go the the C chord."

"I was in high school at the time and just devoured those albums. After learning to play the lead parts on the first three, I got three of my friends to join me in a band that we called The Screaming' Eagles."
Arnold Van Beverhoudt III U.S. Virgin Islands

"Those Play Guitar With The Ventures albums had to be the ONLY rock guitar based instructional sets of the '60s. When I started in the early 70's, all we had was the Frederick Noad classical method and some Mel Bay books written by jazzers such as Howard Roberts. I didn't discover The Ventures until the 1980s."
Marty Tippens Los Angeles, California
